the beach location is wonderful, the lounge chairs reserved for guests perfect, the fire show at night and the live music excellent. The food is great in the restaurant although it could be more reasonably priced for guests. As a guest ask for a discount and you'll get 10% off the food.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. I liked how the rooms were somewhat secluded from each other in the nice garden setting, and quiet. You can't beat the location on the section of beach, as it is the widest, and best ocean entry spot of the hotels in that section of Playa. I liked the restaurant bar location looking toward the ocean, and really enjoyed the live music and fire shows. Very much enjoyed the experiance of staying at Fusion.
We had a vehichle rented during our visit, and parking was an issue, but understand the value of land on the beach. The rooms were large and nice but a little plain, and had nicely updated sink/tap, but the shower could stand to be redone. Nothing major, just normal updating should be considered.

/the location is great- that's why you'd stay here. the staff is very good, but laid-back.Try to stay on the upper floor.
This is a very 'bare-bones" hotel- not luxerious or well-appointed/decorated at all.

Beautiful location at the beach, best hotel in Playa del Carmen because its location, entertainment in the evening, good food, beautiful beach with free sunchairs. People came from other hotels to spend the day at Fusion. That says alot.
Best to stay in the gardenrooms, because if you stay in seaview-rooms, its alot of noise from the live music in the evening, - but thats a preference.

I liked that this hotel is right on the beach. The restaurant at the hotel was nice with good food and intertainment at night. My room was quite at night, even though the hotel located a half block from the 5th street where there are stores, restaurants, and bars. The hotel is also few small blocks from the ado bus station. I took the bus from the airport and to the airport from this station. Also it is some blocks from colectivo, which is like a bus, but cost less then a bus to go to Cancun or Tulum, for example, and a walking distance from Wal-Mart. The hotel price also included a free breakfast, 2 bottles of water a day (for 2 people), beach chairs, and beach towels.

The room is pretty basic but clean and a good size with a tv and refrigerator. (Small) Our maids left 2 fresh bottles of water everyday and replenished the shampoo and soap. The restuarant, bar, patio is very nice with a goog breeze from the beach and the food was excellant. The only downside was that the beach loungers are too close together and the staff will start picking them up around 5;30 to make room for all the tables and chairs for the night dinners and entertainment. We usually prefer to take a late afternoon nap under the palapa in our beach loungers...but..it is common at most of the hotels and beach clubs in pdc to take up the beach loungers between 5-6 pm. Like most hotels, the beds are firm but you get used to them. The Garden view rooms are very quiet. No safes in the room but the reception will lock up any valuables you have. We felt very safe and secure. We will stay at Fusion again.
No room safes, loungers on beach a little too close to each other.

on the beach, in the centre of playa del carmen
seaside rooms can be noisy because of playing bands

A/C worked perfectly, fridge in the room, beautiful garden with flowers that smelled good, king size bed on second floor, beach is awesome, location, palapas on the beach, at night they put tables on the beach...really really nice!!
Breakfast!!!! It was included but was not worth alot. In the afternoon, people were playing like a noisy ping pong just in front of the beach chair, very anoiing!!!! Change for pesos in Mexico cause if you have american dollars they charge more then you should pay for!

what i most liked about the hotel was the restaurant near the beach.

Nice "Mexican style" rooms mostly with view in the internal garden. Just a few steps from the beach and the hotel's beach front bar.

The location by the beach and near the centre was good.
The front desk staff was not always there so sometimes you had to wait for service. The standard of the rooms was quite basic and the room was dark with no view (although "a garden view" was promised). So the price-quality ratio was not the best, in this area it is possible to find hotels with a better standard and a sea view for the same price.

the staff was very nice. Great location on playas beach. Good food. Room was clean and ok. Not too much there but it did offer a/c and tv. loud music every night so ask for back room. I stayed in number 7 and could hear some music but not too bad. The beach and beach chairs with great service cabana boys, great.
Shower needs repainting. Music could hear thumping every night until midnight, so ask for back room.

Simple, relaxed, good price, great location. Wonderful atmosphere. Been the many times, always a delight.
Getting pricey for food & drinks.
